About This Project

CARDANERA Cantina Argiolas

Cardanera comes from espalier-trained vineyards on clayey soils with important calcareous-sandy farions, not far from the sunny coasts of Sulcis. These are vineyards that benefit from the typical Mediterranean climate of this part of Sardinia with mild winters and warm but breezy summers, and rainfall limited to the colder seasons. The grapes, once they have reached perfect ripeness, are harvested manually and transported to the cellar, where they are subjected to red vinification by destemming and fermentation at a controlled temperature for about two weeks, with the marcs macerating in the must. Once the fermentation is completed and the racking is completed, Cardanera rests in concrete tanks for a few months, during which the malolactic fermentation takes place.

TASTING NOTES

intense and sometimes dark ruby juice, impenetrable to light, with slightly purple reflections on the nail, and good consistency demonstrated by swirling in the glass.

The nose is intense and of good complexity, with hints of fresh red flowers, small fresh black fruits such as blackberry and currant, slightly vinous and clearer sensations of pomegranate juice, with hints of pepper and slightly balsamic notes.

In the mouth Cardanera is a red with good structure, juicy and fragrant in aromas, with good freshness and strong sapidity, and with fine tannins that persist on the palate without tiring.

RECOMMENDED COMBINATIONS

Cardanera it is a ready-to-drink red wine but not devoid of structure, a good wine for a convivial toast accompanied by an intense and savory cold cuts

It is recommended to serve at a temperature of 14-18 ° C
